Yes, we are still waiting for Fall here on the beaches of the Outer Banks. Although, I’d say sweet little Colton did not mind a bit. He and his beautiful sister, Jordan just loved spending a day at the beach with mom and dad.

It was a gorgeous day in Duck, in spite of the heat. Everyone had a blast running, splashing, and swinging about at Duck Landing and Town of Duck Boardwalk. There was so much laughter, energy, and love in this session. And I mean to tell you there was energy. But, isn’t this what it’s all about? Having those people in your life to keep you moving, and smiling, with a heart full of love. There is nothing more complicated and precious than the dynamic of family, so many remarkable moments happening at the same time, all the time. It is such an extraordinary thing to witness the way each person in this family illuminated the other. They are clearly the light of each others life, beautiful and inspiring.

This kind of session for me is pure magic. It’s these real once in a lifetime moments captured that is at the heart of my passion for family photography. It was an absolute pleasure and honor to witness their love and capture these beautiful memories.
