There are so many amazing places to vacation, but there is no where like the Outer Banks. Families who come here always want to come back, and as a local I sometimes used to wonder why people travel from far and wide to come to our beaches. But now I know why, and I agree. I so enjoy doing family photo sessions in Corolla. There is magic here….

I can tell you since becoming a family photographer, you get to see a lot of family dynamics. You can see connections and upon beginning to traveling down to the beach, (which is by the way about an hour for me, and so worth it) I can see why they come here, and always want to come back. Mostly they are already planning the next Corolla, NC vacation before they even leave. It’s a happy place for family fun.

It’s a happy place! People come here to escape, but also to connect. I can feel the heart and soul of their love for each other at these beautiful family photo sessions.

There is a pulse to each family connection that is unique and special. Everyone enjoys the beach in a different way, and they all find that space to love here on the Outer Banks. I mean seriously, when else is daddy sitting down in the sand just waiting to get clobbered? Mom dressed in her Sunday best to go hiking and take a swim in the ocean… and encouraging the kids to splash each other on purpose. Call me crazy but I think that this beach life is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen. I like things fun, messy, and natural. They give it to me every time down here in Corolla.
